Hyeongrak Choi
Mr. Choi’s doctoral research is supervised by RLE PI Professor Dirk Englund in the Quantum Photonics Group. Mr. Choi is recognized this year for his significant accomplishments in quantum communications and quantum computing with photons and artificial atoms.
In particular, Mr. Choi is honored for significant contributions in theoretical protocols and experimental methods for entanglement distribution in quantum networks and modular quantum computing. Notable examples include the development of new types of cavity-enhanced spin-photon interfaces that permit exceptionally high efficiency and fidelity for quantum communications; enhancing coherent emission from imperfect and noisy quantum emitters; and blueprint architectures for large-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computing in quantum networks.
